Nuclear Power or Solar Power, The Choice Is Ours
by Shelia Norling

I live in Texas where we enjoy big blue skies and lots and lots of sunshine all year. So I wonder why it is that less than 1/2 of 1% of America’s electricity comes from solar power.

I understand that solar power has been too expensive for mass production in the past, but now we have a choice. Now it’s affordable for everyone. It’s time to let homeowner’s across America know it’s available!

The news here locally has been filled with talk of building more nuclear plants in Texas. We’ve been down that road and I for one don’t want any more nuclear plants anywhere. It’s just not necessary and it doesn’t make sense.

The news about areas where nuclear power plants are built is scary at best. I certainly wouldn’t want to live within hundreds of miles of one. It’s just not natural. Sunshine is natural and plentiful, so why engineer possible disaster when it’s not necessary?

The sun provides enough energy to the Earth in one hour to supply EVERYONE’S energy needs for an entire year! Now we can tap into this power stream for the same or less than we pay for dirty electricity. Who wouldn’t want to do that?

As the global energy demand continues to increase (an estimated 59% over the next 25 years), and the cost of oil, gas, and coal continue to soar (U.S. electricity prices increased 10% over the last year), there is an increasing urgency in our need to upgrade our nation to solar power.

In addition to the financial and security costs involved, the cost to humanity on a global scale is too high to continue on the same path. Residential energy production is one of the largest contributors of pollution worldwide. One thing we can all do right now to change this is obtain our electricity from a clean, renewable source like solar power.

Until now, solar power has been too expensive and too complicated. The average person had to pay about $30,000 to $40,000 to put solar panels on their home. They were also responsible for installing it, maintaining the equipment, getting permits, and more. No wonder you don’t see more solar panels on the homes in your neighborhood.

Solar power is no longer reserved for the elite few and extreme naturalists. A solution is being offered that makes having solar panels on your roof, generating your own electricity, a reality for homeowners across America. If you want to make a huge contribution to cleaning up the air we breathe, put solar panels on your roof!

One solar power company is stepping up to the plate and launching a huge mission to upgrade America to solar power. This company is building the world’s largest solar power manufacturing plant and gearing up to install solar panels on 100,000 residential homes per year not to mention the commercial and industrial sector as well.

Finally, solar power is being made affordable for our homes. How would you like to save on your electric bill while supporting a better solution? Now you can! Best to reserve your system early. When word of this gets out, there will be waiting lines to get your solar power system installed. But you can get ahead of the crowds by reserving your system now with no cost or obligation.

You can expect to hear a lot more about this in the coming months as production comes up to capacity. I just thought you might like to know a little sooner than the rest. There is more to this than meets the eye and lots of information available if you’re interested. I encourage you to take a closer look and join a better solution.

I urge you to add your voice to the many who are not going to stand for more nuclear and coal plants. Our numbers are growing and it’s up to us to turn the tide towards renewable energy resources. Our planet and our future depends on it.
